In this comprehensive guide, I’ll walk you through my personal packing techniques to ensure a stress-free journey. Welcome to my channel! If you’re new here, I’m Lori, and if you’re a returning viewer, it’s great to have you back!

Let’s dive right into the art of efficient packing for travel. While traveling can be enjoyable, it can also be overwhelming. To combat this, it’s crucial for me to have all the essentials I need while keeping my personal item lightweight and comfortable. Today, I’ll share exactly what I pack in my personal item bag, which may inspire you to optimize your packing as well.

Bag Selection:

First and foremost, choosing the right bag is essential. I’m a huge fan of the Flight Go backpack for its impeccable design. It offers the perfect balance between organization and space. With additional pockets for easy organization, side pockets for water bottles, and a secure hidden pocket at the back, it ticks all the boxes for me.

Must-Have Essentials:

When packing my personal item, I always prioritize my passport and wallet. I keep my passport in a secure pocket at the back of my bag, close to my body. This way, it remains safe and easily accessible. Similarly, I store my wallet in the same area to ensure its security.

Next, I ensure that I have all my necessary toiletries and grooming items conveniently within arm’s reach. These include a hairbrush, hair tie, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, lip balm, sunscreen (in powdered form for convenience), and a solid hand lotion. I also carry a pack of tissues and some Advil for unexpected headaches.

To ensure hassle-free security checks, I pack all my toiletries in solid forms. This way, I don’t need to remove them from my bag during screening, as I keep my liquids bag in my carry-on luggage in the overhead bin.

Hygiene and Comfort:

Maintaining hygiene during air travel is crucial. That’s why I always carry sanitizing wipes to clean my tray, seat, and the surrounding area. It’s a small step that goes a long way in preventing illness while on vacation.

Additionally, I attach a hair clip to the bag’s handle for easy access. It’s a handy tool for keeping my hair in place when needed.

Technology and Entertainment:

Staying connected and entertained is a priority for many travelers. To ensure my devices stay charged, I carry an Anchor power block and a single charging cord that can charge both my phone and watch simultaneously. This setup fits perfectly in the side pocket of my bag.

I also include a phone holder that attaches to the tray or seat pocket. It allows me to comfortably watch movies or shows on my phone during the flight.

Additional Items:

Inside my bag, I always carry a book or a notebook for jotting down thoughts or simply enjoying a good read. I dedicate a specific pocket to hold it securely.

To combat the often chilly airplane cabin, I pack a Turkish towel or a blanket scarf that doubles as a beach towel or yoga mat. This versatile item ensures I stay warm and comfortable throughout the flight.

If I’m wearing contacts, I always have my glasses within reach in case of any discomfort. Having clear vision is essential for a pleasant journey.

Lastly, I consider noise-canceling headphones a game-changer for an enhanced flying experience. While not a necessity, they greatly contribute to my comfort and enjoyment during flights.

By following these packing techniques, I’ve significantly improved my flying experience. Each item I include in my personal carry-on bag serves a purpose and contributes to my overall comfort and convenience while traveling. However, it’s important to note that personal preferences may vary.
